R. Tarozaite et al., Change of magnetic properties of autocatalytically deposited CoNiP films by electrolysis simultaneously applied, SURF COAT, 138(1), 2001, pp. 61-70
The magnetic properties of CoNiP films autocatalytically deposited from a g
lycine as ligand containing solutions changed with the simultaneously appli
ed electrolysis. The character of changes was found to be dependent on the
ratio [Co2+]:[Ni2+], concentrations of glycine, hypophosphite and pH of sol
ution. The highest values of magnetic coercivity were obtained at potential
s close to -700 mV (in some investigated cases this value conforms with a m
ixed potential of electroless plating) and was found to be related to the f
ormation of definite size elongated crystallites. Coercivity, remanent magn
etic induction and magnetic squareness of films greatly decreased at higher
cathodic polarization. This decrease was determined by an excess of P in f
ilms and was connected with the decrease in size of the grains. (C) 2001 El
