In this paper, a complete control strategy including system characteristic
analysis and stochastic control design and simulation is illustrated by app
lication to the feedback control of the carding group. Both the state feedb
ack acid the estimator are designed precisely to control the card output de
nsity so that the absolute stability of the closed-loop carding group syste
m is guaranteed. This feedback control design is particularly well suited t
o perform calculations by computer, and eventually we hope to design a card
ing group that can be controlled directly by an on-line computer in nonlabo
ratory conditions.
