Abstract
Polysiloxane allyl p-fluor cinnamate (PSAFC) photopolymer films promote uni form alignment of adjacent liquid crystals (LC) upon photopolymerization by linear polarized UV light. Such films show excellent thermal stability wit h considerable dichroism after undergoing linear polarized W-induced cycloa ddition reaction. There is no clear difference between the atomic force mic roscope (AFM) images of the films before and after the exposure, which show s that there is no clear morphological anisotropy on the exposed film.
