Abstract
Varicose vein abnormalities involving the lesser saphenous vein of a 7-year -old boy are presented. The histopathology of the vein wall revealed a vacu olar degeneration without mucoid deposits of the muscle cells, which has no t been described previously in the literature in congenital varices.
