Abstract
In the course of our continuing work on transformation of monoterpenes by m icroorganisms, the biotransformation of (+)- and (-)-carvone was carried ou t. The metabolites formed during microbial transformations were screened us ing a simple, rapid and efficient technique: Headspace-solid phase microext raction (SPME)/GC-MS. The results as well as the application of this techni que are described.
