Abstract
Background: Arteriovenous fistula is a rare complication of aortoiliac aneu rysmal disease, accounting for less than 2% of clinical presentations. Methods: In addition to the 191 cases reviewed in the literature, an additi onal 14 cases seen at Royal Melbourne Hospital over the last 22 years are p resented to illustrate the challenges in the diagnosis of this condition. Conclusion: An increase in awareness may lead to better management of these patients.
