Out patient waiting time for common skin conditions - do general practitioners and dermatologists have the same priorities! A questionnaire-based survey

We present the results of a questionnaire-based survey amongst the general practitioners and consultant dermatologists regarding maximum acceptable wa iting times for a range of skin conditions, Statistically significant diffe rences were found in the relative prioritization between the general practi tioners and the consultants for a selection of the diagnoses. This has impl ications for planning and implementation of future services in general and developing waiting list prioritization scoring systems in particular.
