In this paper, the space model for train carriages is developed and introdu
ced in dynamic analysis of train-bridge interaction. The rail irregularitie
s described by the power spectral density functions are generated by invers
e Fourier transformation. The equations of motion of train-bridge systems a
re derived and reduced to simulate the dynamic responses of bridges under m
oving trains. The Newmark's beta integration method is adopted to serve the
non-linear coupling equations. Numerical examples show that the method of
this paper has high accuracy in simulating train-bridge interactive dynamic
