J. Ellis et al., HADRONIC ANTENNA PATTERNS TO DISTINGUISH PRODUCTION MECHANISMS FOR LARGE-E-T JETS, Zeitschrift fur Physik. C, Particles and fields, 75(2), 1997, pp. 287-296
Hadronic antenna patterns provide a tool able to diagnose different pa
tterns of colour flow in large-E-T jet events. They reflect the underl
ying short-distance dynamics, and are sensitive to colour coherence an
d interference between the initial- and final-state partons. We discus
s how hadronic antenna patterns may be used on large-Er events from th
e Fermilab Tevatron or the CERN LHC to distinguish between conventiona
l QCD and new physics production mechanisms such as a possible 2' boso
n or compositeness.
