Abstract
The mediastintum testis of dog was axially located and extended three fourt hs the length of testis, and continued as the extra testicular part and con sisted of 3 divisions. The mediastinum testis consisted of tubular and inte rtubular components. The intertubular components of the mediastinum consist ed of dense fibrous tissue with a few elastic and smooth muscle cells. Coll ection of interstitial cells was constantly observed in the form of cell co rds. The rete testis consisted of an intratesticular and extratesticular pa rts. The intratesticular part was in,the form of irregular anastomosing wid e channels located in mediastinum testis as well as in the connective tissu e septa lined by simple cuboidal to low columnar epithelium with stratified appearance at places. The intratesticular part penetrated the caputa extre mity of the testis and continued as the extratesticular part of the rete te stis and consisted of 3 portions.
