Abstract
The reactions of [n-Bu4N](2)Re2Cl8 with the phosphine ligands Ph2PCMe2PPh2 (2,2-dppp) and Ph2PC(CH2)(2)PPh2(cdpp), which are derivatives of Ph2PCH2PPh 2, lead to the complexes trans-ReCl2(2,2-dppp)(2) (1) and Re2Cl4(mu -cdpp)( 2) (2), respectively, while Re-2(mu -O2CCH3)(4)Cl-2 reacts with cdpp to aff ord trans-Re-2(mu -O2CCH3),Cl-2(mu -cdpp)(2) (5). The crystal structures of 1 and 5 have been determined, that of 5 being only the second one reported for a complex of cdpp. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
