Abstract
A new laboratory prototype for studying the control of multivariable, non-l inear and chaotic processes is presented. The system consists of a spherica l magnetic pendulum, suspended by a string and attracted or repelled by thr ee electromagnetic actuators with variable magnetic force. The 3D position of the pendulum is measured using ultrasound sensors.
