An interactive framework for teaching power system harmonics

Electrical engineering education textbooks usually restrict the linking bet ween theory and practical work in power system harmonics. This paper presen ts a comprehensive definition, mathematical description, and practical expe riments in power harmonics. To realise the application in a real environmen t a simple software package, based an FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) in the M ATLAB program, to identify and analyse the power system harmonics, is intro duced.
