Abstract
Based on the semi-classical density matrix equations and numerical iteratio n calculation, the gain coefficient of nine-energy-level NH3 molecular syst em was figured out. Energy exchange process in two-longitudinal-mode optica lly pumped submillimeter wave laser was studied in detail. Laser output int ensity was calculated and discussed in case of different operating paramete rs such as operating gas pressure, length of laser cavity. Finally the opti mization rules were concluded.
