Abstract
The adsorption of 3,3'- and 4-4'-bipyridine on solid silver substrates , prepared by filtration of colloidal dispersions, has been studied by surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The effect of activation by coadsorbed chloride anions is discussed and related to the morphology of the metal surfaces analysed through scanning electron microscopy ( SEM).
