Voiding dysfunction in a patient with adolescent adrenoleukodystrophy

The details are reported of bladder dysfunction in a Japanese boy with adre noleukodystrophy. He developed gait disturbance at the age of 15 years. Spa stic paraparesis progressed from the legs to the hands and brain magnetic r esonance imaging showed characteristic degenerative change. Detrusor hyperr eflexia was found by a urodynamic study and detrusor-sphincter dyssynergia was also suspected.
