Abstract
This study proposed three different treatments of plasticized PVC, which de creases diffusion of the plasticizer when the plastic is in contact with a liquid food or simulated liquid food. The treated PVCs were tested under th e same operating conditions, and their efficiency was able to be assessed t hanks to a diffusion model previously described. It was shown that the time and the temperature of the storage of the treated PVCs influenced the effe ctiveness of the treatment. (C) 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
