Hd. Chae et al., Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome complicating a spontaneous singleton pregnancy: A case report, J AS REPROD, 18(2), 2001, pp. 120-123
It has been known that most cases of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHS
S) are associated with the use of exogenous gonadotropins to induce multipl
e ovulation. However, OHSS is frequently associated with a spontaneous ovul
atory cycle, usually in the case of multiple gestations, hypothyroidism, or
polycystic ovarian syndrome. We report a ease of severe OHSS in a spontane
ously pregnant woman with no underlying disease.
