Abstract
In this paper by means of Laplace transformations the transformation p robability matrix is calculated for the solution of the master equatio n in an exciton model of nuclear reaction. Because the condition of th e 'never-come-back' approximation is not employed, the solution of the master equation in our calculation is more accurate. The algebraic ex pression of the transformation probability matrix and the excited stat e occupation probability are given. All these contribute to a further progress in the application of nonequilibrium statistics in nuclear ph ysics.
