Abstract
Using a laser monitoring observation technique, the solubilities of 4-methy lbenzoic acid in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, N,N-dimethylformamide, N,N-dimethy lacetamide, trichloromethane, acetic acid, and water were measured by a syn thetic method at temperatures ranging from 288 K to 370 K at atmospheric pr essure. A solubility equation was proposed and verified by experimental res ults. Differential scanning calorimetry experiments were also performed and discussed.
