Abstract
Densities and speeds of sound of the systems nitromethane + 1-butanol, nitr omethane + 2-methyl-propan- 1-ol, and nitromethane + 2-butanol were measure d in the temperature range (288.15-308.15) K. Excess molar volumes are disc ussed and compared with those of other systems polar fluid + alcohol founde d in the literature.
