The essential oil obtained from flowering shoots of Echinophora cinerea (Bo
iss.) Hudge and Lamond (Umbelliferae) was analyzed by GC/MS. Ninteen compon
ents were identified representing 98.9% of the oil with alpha -phellandrene
(61.4%), beta -phellandrene (10.7%), alpha -pinene (9.6%) and p-cymene (6.
0%) as major constituents.
