Abstract
The active cooling of the Tore Supra plasma facing components, including it s operational limits, is extensively described. The associated calorimetric diagnostic is found to be a powerful and accurate tool to study the energy balance of plasma discharges. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights re served.
