Developmental differences in the Denver Developmental Screening Test i
tems were demonstrated between Denver and Milan samples of children. T
he Milan children were generally more advanced than Denver children, e
specially for items acquired during the first two years of life, while
they were slower in some items especially after three and half years
of age. However, a statistical comparison between the Denver and the M
ilan samples of children is impossible, because for evaluation of the
results in the Denver children no logistic statistical method was used
. Furthermore, in the Milan children a smaller variability in the age
of achievement of items was found.
