Abstract
The novel C-3-chiral tripodal amine HC(SiMe2NHR*)(3) (1) and the correspond ing trilithium triamide HC(SiMe2N(Li)R*) (2) [R*=(R)-tetrahydronaphthyl] ha ve been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction; the latter was found to have a central adamantoid cage structure in which the two-coordina te Li atoms are internally solvated by the peripheral aryl groups.
