The possibility of quantitative OPLC measurement of levels of formaldehydein human saliva

The biochemistry of human saliva is very complicated and the roles of many of its chemical constituents have not yet been explained, For this reason t he possibility of OPLC determination of formaldehyde in saliva has been inv estigated; the results are presented in this paper. The procedure was usefu l for detection and quantitative determination of formaldehyde in human sal iva, The results obtained indicate the possibility of further interesting r esearch work in this field.
