Abstract
A novel ultraviolet irradiation technique was developed to synthesize manga nese dioxide-polyimide hybrids. The hybrids were characterized by FTIR, tra nsmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), an d X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was found that the MnO2 particles were of nan ometric scale and well dispersed in the MnO2/polyimide hybrids prepared by this method. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
