Abstract
Pre-clinical evaluation of a potential antipsychotic agent required a conve nient synthesis of 3-(1-piperazinyl)-1H-indazole derivatives. Improvements of the original preparation provided a five-step sequence to an unsubstitut ed piperazine intermediate, with a 67% overall yield. All intermediates wer e isolated by filtration.
