Abstract
An experimental set-up allowing the magnetic susceptibility measurement dur ing the processing of metallic alloys at high temperature in high magnetic fields is described. Curie temperature, melting and solidification can be o bserved by the magnetic susceptibility variations. Results for a high-Curie -temperature Co-Sn alloy are presented, together with the effect of the fie ld on the resulting microstructure. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All righ ts reserved.
