The paper presents results of measurements of temperature dependencies of t
he electrical resistance of the alloys EuCu2(SixGe1-x)(2) with 0.5 less tha
n or equal to x less than or equal to 0.8, in the temperature range 4.2-100
K, and the influence of magnetic fields up to 13 T. Temperature and field d
ependencies of the magnetoresistance of alloys with 0.5 less than or equal
to x less than or equal to 0.7 exhibit a Kondo-like behavior with a negativ
e sign. For x = 0.5, the magnetoresistance changes its sign at the lowest t
emperatures. This behavior suggests some similarity of the behavior of the
compounds under study to that observed in well-known Kondo-lattices such as
CeCu2Si2 and CeAl3. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
