Abstract
A simple one-electron theory is proposed for linear optical properties of a bundle of diameter-distributed and aligned single-wall carbon nanotubes (S WCNs), which is in excellent agreement with both the position and spectral shape of the fundamental absorption edge recently observed in SWCN thin fil ms.
