Abstract
The two-photon absorption (TPA) of poly(styrene maleic anhydride)/TiO2 nano composites has been studied by Z-scan technique. It is believed that the su rface state and dielectric confinement effect are mainly responsible for th e enhanced nonlinearity of composites, and that the nonlinearity is intimat ely related to the weight percentage and particle concentration of TiO2 in nanocomposite. Based on the TPA, we also investigated the optical Limiting of composites. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
