Abstract
The CPLEAR set-up (modified) has been used to determine the K-L-K-S mass di fference by a method where neutral-kaon strangeness oscillations are monito red through kaon strong interactions, rather than semileptonic decays, thus requiring no assumptions on CPT invariance for the decay amplitudes. The r esult, Deltam = (0.5343 +/- 0.0063(stat) +/- 0.0025(syst)) x 10(10)h/s, pro vides a valuable input for CPT tests. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Scienc e B.V.
