Abstract
We synthesized polysiloxanes containing phenylethynyl groups (PE-PDMS) in s ide chains via cohydrolysis condensation of dimethyldichlorosilane and phen ylethynyl methyldichlorosilane and then catalysis equilibrium copolymerizat ion by sulphuric acid. PE-PDMS was characterized by infrared spectra, H-1 n uclear magnetic resonance and its dynamic mechanical properties were also i nvestigated. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
