The Spanish-American war in the Philippines and the testimony of the Jesuit fathers

The 1898 Hispanic-American War and the Manila Siege are events of great imp ortance both for Spanish, Philippinean and North American History. It is th e aim of this article to make known unpublished sources ("Diario" and "Brev e Relacion") belonging to the Barcelona documentation legate gathered by th e Jesuits (A.H.P.A.) with regard to the history of Philippines. The author of the same was an anonymous and shrewd Jesuit who through the analysis of the said and other sources has been identified as Father Miguel Saderra y M ata.
