Abstract
Allergy to goat's or sheep's milk without allergy to cow's milk. Allergy to milk proteins from goats and sheep has been recently reported an d is an unusual finding. We report three cases of patients who experienced severe allergic reactions after eating cheeses made with goat's or sheep's milk and who tolerated cow's milk dairy products. Skin-prick tests with fre sh goat and sheep milks and/or specific IgE against goat and sheep milks we re strongly positive. Structural homology between goat and sheep caseins ma y be involved in the occurrence of allergy to goat's and sheep's milk witho ut allergy to cow's milk.
