A new three-dimensional microporous fluorogallophosphate, named Mu-17, was
obtained by hydrothermal synthesis in the presence of 3-(2-aminoethylamino)
propylamine as organic template, using the fluoride route. Its structure wa
s determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The symmetry is triclinic
, space group P (1) over bar, with the following unit cell parameters: a =
10.283(11) Angstrom; b = 12.096(12) Angstrom; c = 16.91(2) Angstrom; alpha
= 76.07(11)degrees; beta = 72.38(7)degrees and gamma = 65.20(7)degrees. The
structure results from the connection of chains, built from [4(4)6(1)] Sma
ll cage-like building units. The resulting framework displays a one dimensi
onal channel system delimited by a non planar 12MR opening in the a directi
on, occluding the protonated amine. This material was characterized by XRD,
SEM,C-13, F-19 and P-31 solid state NMR spectroscopy, and also elemental a
nd thermal analyses. (C) 2001 Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier
