Abstract
In the article a simplified version of the Hartree method is proposed for c alculation of electron states in a quantum dot. The results obtained by the use of the standard and the simplified Hartree methods are compared. Total energy of electrons confined in the quantum well allows to estimate capaci tance of the dot.
