Abstract
Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome is a rodent-borne zoonosis first recogni zed in the United States in 1993. Person-to-person transmission has no t been reported; however, in the outbreak of 20 cases reported here, e pidemiologic evidence strongly suggests this route of transmission.
