Abstract
The shape of absorption profiles obtained with single mode diode laser s in a cylindrical magnetron discharge are interpreted by properly tak ing into account longitudinal Zeeman-splitting and optical depth. Addi tional Doppler-free spectra were taken to support the assumed model. ( C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
