Abstract
The identification of plasma parameters from different sets of measurements is a key topic in the thermonuclear fusion research. Most of the informati on relevant to the plasma shape and position control is usually gained via external magnetic measurements, but information related to internal distrib ution of current density is not accessible in this way. Other possible meas urements are available. In this paper a performance analysis is done with r espect to the adoption of polarimetric measurements.
