Abstract
The hyperbolicity region for the fourteen moments equations of Extended The rmodynamics in the approximation of processes not far from an equilibrium s tate is determined. The knowledge of such a region is useful for the choice of the boundary and Cauchy data and for tests about the admissibility of t he solutions. The region is also compared with the one corresponding to the 13-moments case.
