Abstract
A simple numerical scheme for the determination of the dominant time consta nts of spheroidal conductors is presented. This approach avoids the difficu lties of the analytical treatments in case of large eccentricities. Thus, t he determination of the time constants for arbitrary eccentricities is now possible. In the limit case of very small eccentricities the numerical resu lts agree very well with the results known from the literature.
