Abstract
We experimentally demonstrated the feasibility of using Walsh-code-has ed synchronized code-division-multiple access (S-CDMA) technique to ac hieve multiple access in the presence of optical-beat interference (OB I), This multiple access technique can, thus, be applied to WDMA netwo rks using subcarrier-based common wavelength signaling, or PON's which generally do not have wavelength control on uplink laser diodes.
