Abstract
The effect of starch content, on the physico-mechanical properties viz,, de nsity, tensile strength and percentage elongation and optical properties li ke percentage transmittance at different wavelengths of low-density polyeth ylene/starch blended films has been investigated. The changes have been int erpreted quantitatively in terms of microcrystalline parameters compiled us ing wide angle X-ray scattering data. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All ri ghts reserved.
