Abstract
The scapholunate ligament is a strong interosseous ligament linking the two bones. Three portions are described as having their own biomechanical role s and histological structures. The posterior part has the main role in cont rolling the scapholunate harmonious coordinated movement. Resistance to rup ture is 300N. Scapholunate instability depends on this Ligament, and its re pair is possible after acute rupture.
