Abstract
In this paper we present the design of magnetic diagnostics for the fi rst Indian superconducting steady state tokamak (SST-1). Design of bot h inductive and non-inductive magnetic sensors is described in brief. Some of the issues are also discussed briefly. (C) 1997 Elsevier Scien ce S.A.
