Abstract
Diaryl ethyne bridged zinc and free base porphyrin containing dimers with f our bromines exclusively on one of the porphyrin ring have been synthesized . The energy transfer from an excited zinc porphyrin to free base porphyrin depends mainly on the position of bromines in the dimers.
