Binuclear copper(I) complex [Cu(dppm)(2,2 ' -biPY)](2)(NO3)(2) (1), dppm=Ph
2PCH2PPh2] has been synthesized by a ligand replacement reaction. X-ray cry
stal structure of the complex (1) shows that dppm coordinates as a bridging
bidentate ligand, and 2,2 ' -bipy as a bidentate ligand to the Cu(I) atoms
with tetrahedral structure. NO3- behaves as a free ion in this newly prepa
red binuclear copper(I) complex. Crystals (1) are monoclinic P2(1)/n, a = 1
