Abstract
A few complexes [Mn(SBth)(H2O)(2)], (Me4N)[Pd(HSBth)Cl-2]. [M(HSBth)(SBth)] [M(III)=Fe or Mn] and [M(SBth)(acac)] [M(III)=Co or Cr)] have been prepare d from a potential tetradentate ligand, N-salicyloyl-N'-thiobenzhydrazide ( H(2)SBth). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, mag netic susceptibility measurements, UV-Vis, IR and NMR studies. H(2)SBth and its complexes have shown remarkable in vitro antitumour activity against P -815 (murine mastocytoma) tumour cells.
